<li>If consistently training with progress, maintain 180 minus age as MAF HR</li>
<li>If excelling in training and competition without issues, add 5 beats</li>

The applicability of the MAF 180 Formula should be tailored for athletes over 65 years to potentially adjust by up to 10 beats. For those under 16 years old, an MAF HR of 165 is recommended instead of using the formula.
